On Thursday we had to put a halt on dismantling stereos. We needed to save some for the other classes to take apart. I asked the children ‘What should we do with all these parts’? ‘Make a ROBOT!’
After a lot of glue gun usage our robot was finished. The last thing to do was name him. ‘A5-T1′ just defeated ‘Justin’ to win the election. The children helping to make sure our new robot feels safe and comfortable in class.

Love this idea! Very creative and it looks like the kids had a blast taking the radio apart and putting it back together in the form of the robot.
So can your robot follow instructions? Can you use him to help you clean up in your classroom?
The robot looks handsome and strong.
You named it well too. A5-T1.
It was an awesome work, friends!
he is awesome! how are his toes?
I think A1-T5 is cute. What does he like to do? Can he sing?
Very cool to have met A1-T5 at school yesterday! I hope he’ll be a fun new “classmate” for the Squirrels!
Thank you for writing to us.
@Swati: A5-T1 doesn’t listen. He plays when he wants to. No, he doesn’t help clean up the classroom.
@Ms. Dorothy: The toes of A5-T1 are coming off.
@Miki’s Mom: A5-T1 likes to play light saber battles and he always wins! He is a jedi master! Yes he likes to sing and he plays music.

i had the chance to meet A5-T1, cool robot!
would be good to have the whole class have a picture with your newer mascot. am sure the squirrel needs some playmate, too.
or what about another A5-T2?
great job to all!
What a wonderful idea. I thought your robot looked wonderful and it is great to hear that everyone is looking after him!

@ Wendy (Ela’s Mom): Right now we don’t have the pieces to make another A5-T2. Maybe we can get more pieces when we get the tinkering trolley back.
